Break4You — Building a digital product from concept to launch

Break4You is a free online coach for people caring for a relative with advanced cancer — a group under enormous emotional and physical strain who rarely take time for themselves. Developed as a collaboration between the Austrian Pancreatic Cancer Support Group and selpers, the platform needed to provide practical support while feeling approachable, reassuring and easy to use.

As Lead Designer, I was responsible for shaping the product from the first concept through to launch, combining branding, UX/UI design and visual communication into one cohesive experience.

Concept & Branding

Shaping a supportive experience from structure to identity — guiding participants through a sensitive topic with clarity, warmth and an approachable visual language.

Hand-drawn UX planning on a desk — sketched user-journey stages beside a printed flowchart mapping the Break4You sign-up and six-week coaching path
Together with the selpers team and members of the support group, I shaped a six-week journey that gradually introduces content, audio guides and exercises — encouraging small moments of self-care without overwhelming participants.
The Break4You brand system: the logo with its partner marks, green audio-player button states, the violet-and-green colour palette and a set of warm flat illustrations
Drawing from both partner brands, I created a distinct identity for Break4You across logo, colour and typography, complemented by warm illustrations that make the content feel approachable.

The Experience

Creating a simple, reassuring experience around the programme — giving participants one clear place to access content, find support and get answers when they need them.

I designed the experience from landing page and onboarding through to the central dashboard, bringing weekly content, consultation hours and frequently asked questions together in a clear and easy-to-navigate structure.

To extend the experience beyond the platform, I created printed information cards distributed through support groups to introduce Break4You and support its launch.
